Gulong Gorge Drifting
Known as the "roller coaster on the crest of the waves," Gulong Gorge rafting is one of the most thrilling rafts in Guangdong. The average slope of the Gulong Gorge Drifting Track is 9.5%, surpassing the 7.5% average slope of the world's largest canyon, the Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon.
The Gulongxia International Drifting Track has two world records, the world's longest natural water competition channel and the world's largest natural water competition channel with the largest drop. It has also hosted multiple international natural water drifting competitions and is designated as a drifting track by the General Administration of Sport of China. The Gulongxia International Drifting Track has a total distance of 6063 meters, a drop of 378 meters, and a maximum speed of 72 kilometers per hour. It is divided into two stages: the "Peak Track" and the "Extreme Track". It is the longest, highest drop, and fastest racing drifting event in the world.
Due to the steep cliffs, high mountains and dense forests, towering ancient trees, and vines intertwined, the river channel of Gulong Gorge is heavily surrounded by "forest tunnels" - the primitive jungle blocks the sky and the sun, making it difficult for the drifting river to see the sky all year round. The highest annual temperature is only 22 ℃. Compared to other rafting projects that are exposed to sunlight in the summer, Gulongxia is the only water rafting project in Guangdong that claims "no need to apply sunscreen". The main water source of the drifting river comes from the Gulong Cave in the canyon, which is a type of drinking water source. There are multiple layers of sand and shale distributed inside the cave, and multiple streams of spring water flow out. The sound of the water roars, and it is clear and refreshing. There has been a saying since ancient times about the "Gulong Mingquan".

The newly upgraded Gulong Gorge Drifting River integrates Amazon tribal scenes, incorporating challenges such as Gorilla Island, Crocodile Pond, and Dinosaur Valley, and is the first scenario based drifting project in the country. Qingyuan is the hometown of drifting in China, and Gulong Gorge, as the pinnacle of Qingyuan drifting, has been praised by the industry as "looking at Qingyuan in Chinese drifting, looking at Gulong in Qingyuan drifting". The Guangdong Provincial Bureau of Technical Supervision has formulated service standards for the drifting industry, and Gulongxia has fully participated in the drafting and implementation. The Gulongxia Drifting River has been carefully designed by international drifting experts according to the track standards. It is one of the first standardized rivers recognized by the Provincial Technical Supervision Bureau, and its river safety has been certified by the highest authoritative institutions, China Classification Society, and Guangdong Provincial Sports Bureau.
